FAQ

  • What is The International Classics Olympiad?
The International Classics Olympiad is a global mythology competition for high school students between the ages of 14-18.
  • Who is eligible to participate?
To apply, you must be aged 14-18 and currently enrolled at a secondary education institution.
  • What are the prizes associated with each award?
Finalists from each round receive prizes. The International round finalists will receive college consulting credit. See our prizes page for more details.
  • Why I am having troubles at payment stage of registration?
Please ensure you are using the Google Chrome browser and have cleared all cookies/cache. After doing so, try your payment again. It should now go through without any issues.
  • Will I receive a score and marked rubric after first round submissions?
No. Unfortunately we will not be providing scores, marked judging rubrics, or written comments for first round submissions as we do not have the capacity to provide this to everyone due to the immense amount of submissions.
  • Is there any financial aid?
Yes, if you need help paying for the International Classics Olympiad, send us an email at info@classicsolympiad.org and let us know, we will do what we can to help.
  • Do I need to study mythology to participate?
No! We encourage all majors to participate in the International Classics Olympiad as it will help you understand literature, history, philosophy, and science (which are required for all degrees).
